Description: Adi Kailash Om Parvat Trek stands high at an altitude of 6191 m in Dharchula district of Uttarakhand. Adi Kailash is the resting place of Shiva-The Lord of destruction. Adi Kailash is known as the replica of Kailash Mansarovar. It is scripted in Hindu Mythology that Shiva meditated and stayed at Adi Kailash for some time. Adi Kailash is a gem of nature, snow-capped peak spreading its beauty around the valley. Thousands of pilgrims from all over the world join together once a year for a holy yatra around Adi Kailash. This Yatra washes away their unintentional sins and their Karma-cycle gets restored. It is believed the demon king Ravana, once prayed to Lord Shiva at Adi Kailash. Getting impressed by his prayer and worship Shiva granted him the power and brilliance of ten men.

 

Itinerary:

Day 1: Delhi- Almora (390 KMs / 9-10 Hrs)

Yatra will start from Delhi. Lunch enroute and upon arrival check in the hotel and can walk in the main market & rest of the evening free – Overnight in the Hotel. (Hotel on Twin / Triple sharing basis) (Meals: B)


Day 2: Almora - Dharchula (312 Kms/ 11 Hrs Approx.)

Departure to Dharchula early morning after Breakfast. Documentation, Medical and Inner Line permit will be done in Dharchula, required as we will be travelling along Nepal border. Check in the hotel/Homestay and dinner at the same place.(Hotel on Twin / Triple sharing basis) (Meals: B, D)


Day 3: Dharchula - City Tour

Medical test if not done earlier and rest of the time to acclimatize and can even visit India Nepal Border – so this is the day when you can do the shopping for the yatra and overnight in the hotel. Darchula – a heaven for the traditionally used medicinal plants – the reported plants spices are highly valued in the Indian , Chinese and Tibetan market. Day 4: Dharchula - Gunji / Nabi Gaon(80 KMs/ 5 Hrs) 3200 M

Departure to Gunji after breakfast enroute sightseeings of beautiful waterfalls and villages, Chialekh, Garbyang and Napalchu. The road condition is not so good hence it takes atleast 5 to 6 hrs to cover 80 kms – we use powerfull vehicles to transport you with comfortable seats. Upon arrival check into your homestay/lodge and later walk around the village and enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains. Later come back to the Homestay/lodge for dinner and overnight stay. (Meals: B, D)


Day 5: Gunji - Adi Kailash-Gunji (40 KMs/3hrs)

Early morning retreat for visit to Adi Kailash. Enroute we will spot Kunti Parvat, Pandav Fort, and Parvati Mukut. After 3 km of walking from Jyolingkong we reach Parvati Sarovar and Adi Kailash Temple. We will arrange a Hawan Ceremony and then at around by 1500 hrs we start back to Nabi Village and upon arrival check in your homestay – evening free.(Hotel on Twin / Triple sharing basis) (Meals: B, D)

Day 6: Gunji - Om Parvat- Nabi/Gunji (30 Kms / 2 Hrs Approx.) - Darchula (80 KMs/5 Hrs)

After breakfast in Gunji, departure for OM Parvat darshan. The viewpoint for Om Parvat remains Nabidang. On return we see Shesh Nag Parvat and Ved Vyas Gufa opposite Kali Temple. A group Hawan is organised at Kali Temple, Kalapani. Cultural Performance by locals. After that we start proceeding back to Nabi Gaon at around by 1530 then later on proceed for Darchula– upon arrival check in yr homestay. Evening free. (Meals: B, D)


Day 7: Darchula - Almora (220 KMs/7 Hrs)

Lv after breakfast and visit enroute Chitai Golu Devta Temple just 8 kms before Almora and later upon arrival check in the hotel. Almora- is a mountainous district, formed in the shape of a horse’s hoof. According to a legend, Kaushika Devi of Almora is said to have killed the demons Shumbha and Nishumbha in this region. Almora was ruled by the Chand empire first and then by the Katyuri dynasty.Almora is popular for its sweets which you can order upon arrival and they will have it prepared by next morning. Almora is famous for its alluring beauty, panoramic view of the Himalayas, rich cultural heritage, unique handicrafts, and delicious cuisines. (Hotel on Twin / Triple sharing basis) (Meals: B)


Day 8: Almora- Delhi Drop (390 KMs/8 Hrs)

Lv after breakfast for Delhi and you arrive by Evening – the tour ends here.
