What is Adi Kailash & Om Parvat?
Adi Kailash is also known as Shiva Kailash, Chota Kailash, Baba Kailash or Jonglingkong Peak. According to Hindu mythology, it was the first stop of the wedding procession when Lord Shankar was on way to marry Goddess Parvati.
Adi Kailash yatra is the spiritual tour for Om Parvat and Mount Adi Kailash. Mount Adi Kailash is exactly a mirror image of Mt Kailash.

Where is Adi Kailash & Om Parvat?
Adi Kailash is in the Himalayan range at the Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand state of India. The area is surrounded by three countries India, Nepal and Tibet. Adi Kailash and Om Parvat are near to Tibetan border in Uttarakhand. It is the Vyas valley of Uttrakhand of the Pithoragarh area. Adi Kailash yatra is one of most sacred yatra in Hindu religion. As per belief, God Shiva resides in these Kailash Mountain. During this yatra, you also visit Parvati Sarovar, Kali temple, Pandav fort, Kunti Parvat, Narayan ashram along with Mount Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. You can see a reflection image of Adi Kailash in Parvati Sarovar. In addition to that OM symbol written naturally by snow on Om Parvat is mesmerizing. It is high altitude yatra. But this yatra is full of the scenic beauty of the Himalayas. That feel your soul with peace and divinity. The drive along Kali River is full of joy and beauty. According to legends, Ravana came from the south to worship God Shiva here. He was one of the biggest admirers of Lord Shiva.
How much trek in Adi Kailash yatra?
Adi Kailash trek is just 3 Km now. Earlier it is a very tough trek for more than 160 KM. But now the government has built a motorable road. So now the maximum distance is covered by road and only 3 KM trek is left in Adi Kailash yatra.

How can I travel to Adi Kailash?
You can take a flight or travel by train or road to Kathgodam/Haldwani and from there we will take over the journey and all arrangements for you. It’s a 7 night and 8 days package.
In Package- Day 1, Kathgodam to Dharchula the journey starts from Kathgodam /Haldwani and move forward for Dharchula. Overnights stay in Dharchula.
On Day 2, Dharchula City Tour
Medical test if not done earlier and rest of the time to acclimatize and can even visit India Nepal Border – so this is the day when you can do the shopping for the yatra and overnight in the hotel. Darchula – a heaven for the traditionally used medicinal plants – the reported plants spices are highly valued in the Indian , Chinese and Tibetan market. (Hotel on Twin / Triple sharing basis) (Meals: B, D)
On Day 3, You leave Dharchula early in the morning and get Inner Line Permit and medical test to undertake the Yatra. The Inner Line Permit will be required on the way as we are travelling along Nepal/Tibet border. After that You travel to Gunji, enroute sightseeings of beautiful waterfalls and villages, Chialekh, Garbyang and Napalchu. Dinner and Overnight stay in Gunji.
While on Day 4 you travel to Gunji to Jyolingkong - Adi Kailash - Gunji
We have made special arrangement for Puja and Yagnas. You will also have a choice to take a dip in Parvati Sarovar.
On Day 5, you travel from Gunji to Om Parvat- Nabi/Gunji - Dharchula
You can see a “Miracle of Nature” where Snow lies on the mountain in the shape of ॐ. You also have an option to meditate at Om Parvat. After Om Parvat darshan on the way we will see Nag Parvat and leave for Kalapani, where Group Havan Puja will take place along with visit to Kali Mandir and spot Vyas Gufa just opposite Kali Mandir. Later proceed for Gunji and then for Dharchula. Dinner & Overnight stay in Dharchula.
On Day 6, you travel from Dharchula - Didihat followed by return to Almora / Jageshwar Temple.

General Information
Adi Kailash Yatra comes in adventure segment so it’s not smooth like regular pleasure tour packages. Roads after Dharchula is there but not smooth & generally covered by Bolero which is not comfortable. We make sit only 4-5 persons in 1 Bolero to make it slightly better. In case of any road block or land slide, people have to trek for some distance. Itineraries are subjected to change / modified in unavoidable circumstances.
The tour program can be changed without prior information because of the weather condition.
We don not guarantee in case you could not do darshan of Om Parvat & Adi Kailash which all depends upon the weather. Though our continuous efforts will be there.
