Tour Itinerary

Day1: Arrive Delhi – Upon arrival Domestic flight to Udaipur ( Fly) (Visit Akola Village famous for mud resist Painting)

Your journey begins in Delhi, where you’re greeted with a traditional welcome and a short briefing about the adventure ahead. Soon after, board your domestic flight to Udaipur, the enchanting "City of Lakes." Upon arrival, we take a scenic drive to Akola Village, a quiet settlement near Udaipur renowned for its Dabu (mud resist) printing.

Here, you’ll witness:

  • The carving of intricate wooden blocks.

  • Fabrics soaked for 36 hours before printing.

  • The traditional process of applying mud paste mixed with tree gum, using hand-carved blocks.

  • Dipping printed cloth in natural indigo vats.This meticulous, slow-fashion process results in stunning, high-quality fabric with deep cultural roots. An unforgettable start to your textile trail.

Day2: Udaipur ( City tour with City Palace Museum + Bandhani and Lehariya Workshop)

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Udaipur’s architectural gems:

  • City Palace Complex: Eleven interconnected palaces with grand courtyards and lake views.

  • Lake Palace & Jag Mandir: Romantic island palaces floating on shimmering Lake Pichola.

  • Saheliyon-ki-Bari: A beautiful garden built for royal women with lotus ponds and marble fountains.

  • Moti Magri Memorial: A hilltop statue commemorating Maharana Pratap and his loyal horse, Chetak.

Later in the afternoon, join a textile workshop on Bandhani and Leheriya:

  • Bandhani (tie-dye): Learn how artisans use fingernail-sized bindings to create delicate patterns on fabric.

  • Leheriya: A wave-pattern dyeing technique done on turbans and saris, symbolizing the monsoon spirit.

Cap off the day with a sunset cruise on Lake Pichola, as the city glows in golden hues.

Day3: Udaipur – Jalore (Drive) ( Visit artisans practicing Moti Bharat – a unique textile art found in Jalore on the way)

After breakfast, drive 200 km (approx. 4 hours) to Jalore, with a special stop to meet Moti Bharat artisans. This unique textile craft involves creating intricate decorative items using colorful beads sewn onto fabric. Once used for door hangings (torans), fans, and wall decor, this art is now being adapted into fashion accessories and jewelry.

Highlights:

  • Hands-on demo of beaded embroidery.

  • Understand the symbolic use of motifs (peacocks, flowers, birds).

  • Shop directly from artisans.

Check in at Ravla Bhenswara, a restored noble mansion offering heritage hospitality and warm local charm.

Day4: Jalore- Jodhpur (Drive) Via Salawas ( Salawas - famous for durries(rugs) made by local craftsman. The durry (rugs) weaved out of cotton or wool)

Today, head to Jodhpur, the "Blue City," with a stop at Salawas village, 22 km outside the city. This quiet village is home to handwoven durries (rugs) made from cotton and wool.

At Salawas Durry Udhyog, watch weavers at their looms, creating:

  • Simple bordered rugs in earthy tones.

  • Intricate geometric and animal designs.

  • Naturally dyed pieces in bold Rajasthani colors.

Later, wander through Jodhpur’s old city, where blue-painted houses and narrow lanes buzz with life. Enjoy dinner at a rooftop restaurant with a view of Mehrangarh Fort—lit dramatically under the night sky.

Day5: Jodhpur ( City tour + Mehrangarh Museum + Bandhej Workshop)

After breakfast, delve into Jodhpur’s layered history:

  • Mehrangarh Fort: Towering 125m above the city, featuring palaces, museums, and historic gateways.

  • Jaswant Thada: A serene marble memorial by the lakeside.

  • Umaid Bhawan Palace: A still-functioning palace and luxury hotel.

  • Mandore Gardens: Ancient cenotaphs and shrines.

Later, attend a Bandhej workshop, exploring how this ancient resist-dye technique uses dots, spirals, and waves to create dazzling patterns on saris and turbans.

End the day with a stroll through the Sardar Market near Clock Tower—perfect for picking up silver jewelry, spices, and hand-embroidered textiles.

Day6: Jodhpur – Pushkar (Drive) ( Wooden Block Workshop at Pushkar + City tour)

After breakfast, drive to Pushkar, a serene spiritual town nestled around a holy lake. Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India, known for:

  • The only Brahma Temple in the world.

  • Pushkar Lake and ghats—where pilgrims take sacred dips.

  • Saraswati Temple, dedicated to the goddess of wisdom.

Later, attend a wooden block printing workshop—learn to ink, stamp, and create your own printed fabric using hand-carved wooden blocks.

Day7: Pushkar ( Free day to relax and explore the hidden paths of Pushkar)

A relaxed, no-guide day to explore Pushkar’s lively bazaar, rooftop cafes, and serene alleyways. Try Israeli cuisine and shop for textiles, jewelry, and souvenirs. This slower day lets you catch your breath and soak in Pushkar’s laid-back charm.

Day8: Pushkar to Jaipur via Bagru & Sanganer | Village Crafts & Papers

Depart for Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, stopping at two artisan hubs:

  • Bagru: Famous for its mud-resist block printing, using natural dyes and traditional motifs.

  • Sanganer: Known for fine floral prints, handmade paper, and glass jewelry.

You’ll get to see villagers working on tie-dye, Bandhani, woodblock printing, and paper production. If time permits, we’ll also stop by Jaipur emporiums for carpets and textiles. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day9: Jaipur (City tour of Jaipur + Visit textile Emporiums + Local Markets + Albert Hall Museum + Anokhi Block print Museum)

Explore Jaipur’s architectural marvels and textile legacy:

  • Hawa Mahal: The "Palace of Winds" with its 953 latticed windows.

  • Amber Fort: Ride up or walk to this majestic fort, blending Rajput and Mughal architecture.

  • City Palace & Jantar Mantar: Palace complex and astronomical observatory.

  • Jal Mahal: A water palace that appears to float on Man Sagar Lake.

Visit the Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing, dedicated to preserving and showcasing the block printing traditions of Rajasthan. Later, shop in Johari Bazaar, famous for jewelry and textile stores.

Day10: Jaipur – Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary Via Abhaneri Stepwell. Later visit the Sanctuary in the evening.

Start your day at the stunning Albert Hall Museum. Then drive to Bharatpur, stopping en route at:

  • Abhaneri Stepwell: A breathtaking geometric marvel built for water conservation.

Arrive in Bharatpur, check in, and explore Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO site and birdwatcher’s paradise. Spot migratory birds, deer, and even jackals amidst peaceful wetlands.

Day11: Bharatpur – Agra Via Fatehpur Sikri ( Visit Taj Mahal at Sunset and later visit Local Kinari Bazaar & Emporiums)

En route to Agra, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO site that once served as Emperor Akbar’s capital. In Agra, head straight to the Taj Mahal for a breathtaking sunset view. Learn about the monument’s eternal love story and admire the inlay craftsmanship. Later, visit local emporiums and Kinari Bazaar for marble and stone inlay work.

Day12: Agra – Delhi (Drive) ( Morning visit Agra fort and later Drive to Delhi)

Begin the day at the Agra Fort, a red sandstone masterpiece with views of the Taj. Explore royal chambers, mosques, and courtyards before heading to Delhi. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Delhi.

Day13: Delhi ( Visit New and Old Delhi + Kinari Bazaar in old Delhi + Local Handloom Market called Delhi Haat + Delhi Emporiums + National crafts museum & hastkala Academy)

Explore the capital's contrasting charm:

  • Old Delhi: Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, and buzzing Kinari Bazaar.

  • New Delhi: India Gate, Lutyens' Delhi, Delhi Haat, and National Crafts Museum.Visit Delhi Emporiums showcasing crafts from across India. End the evening with a farewell dinner celebrating the journey and its stories.

Day14: Delhi – Tel Aviv (Fly): Tour ends with sweet memories…

Enjoy a relaxed morning before transferring to the airport for your flight back home. Return with memories of India’s royal forts, vibrant bazaars, and the soulful world of its textile heritage.
